On 8 October 2024, Cohen benn, aged 37, climbed onto the side of an HGV cab and assaulted the driver, a man in his 70s, on Bath Road in Slough. The driver sustained cuts to his face consequently of the attack. Following the assault, Benn left the scene in his car.

Legal Outcome

After an investigation by Thames Valley Police, Benn was charged with common assault by beating. At Reading Magistrates Court, he was sentenced to complete 100 hours of unpaid work. Additionally, he was ordered to pay £150 in victim compensation and £85 in court costs.

Police Statement

PC Ryan Dawe, the investigating officer, acknowledged the public attention the incident received and expressed gratitude to the victim and witnesses for their cooperation. He noted the distress caused to the victim and the wider community and emphasised that such behavior will not be tolerated.
